Discover the history of Baie-Comeau -- the quintessential company town. Meet your guide at the pier and begin your walk to the heart of the town. From there you will set out on a three-hour walking tour with your guide, highlighting the heritage area, boutiques, art galleries, landmarks and, of course, Baie-Comeau's beautiful natural setting.

Experience an event that took place 20,000 years ago, right here in the heart of the UNESCO Manicouagan-Uapishka World Biosphere Reserve -- the Garden of the Glaciers. This immersive, interactive and multi-sensory experience offers visitors an encounter with the last Ice Age climate change, and the migration of the first people to ever set foot in North America. The Glacier Exploration Station is set up around a multimedia show that is divided into three acts composed of spectacular visual projections. It will take you two miles underneath the glacier with stunning sound effects.

The Garden of Glaciers show offers visitors an incredible "encounter" with the last glacial period. You will learn about the First Nations, discover present-day glaciers, and witness the effects of climate change as the Glacier Exploration Center takes you on a journey through the links between the glaciers, climate change, and the migration of the first inhabitants of North America. It is a world-class 3D show and a geological experience that allows you to explore a glacier from top to bottom and even gives you a glimpse of the old seas that lie beneath. The goal is to inspire you to see yourself from a new perspective; to immortalize the past and tell a fascinating story that also sheds light on the future. This multifaceted mission transforms a mere visit into a fascinating multi-sensory experience.

With six miles of trails, the nature park of Pointe-aux-Outardes offers many great beauties to explore. The park's mission is to protect and showcase wildlife, its rich -- yet fragile -- ecosystems, many birds of prey, and shore, forest and sea birds.

Visit the amazing Manic-2 hollow-joint gravity dam. It is roughly the size of a Boeing 747, and is the first of its kind to be put into service at the Manic-Outardes complex. In 1965, Hydro-Québec operated the first 735,000-volt line in the world. This line has now become the international standard for high-voltage transmission. The line is linked to a generating station powerful enough to supply electricity to a city of 250,000 people. Tour the Georges-Dor Pavilion, which holds a turbine, an exhibit hall, and a multimedia room that explains the construction and operation of the dam.

On this tour you will visit two of America's national treasures -- the John F. Kennedy Library (perhaps the nation's most popular presidential library) and Peacefield, home and library of John Adams and John Quincy Adams.

At the Parc National du Saguenay Interpretive Center, hear a brief lecture about the creation and characteristics of the Saguenay Fjord, whose magnificent topography was sculpted by glaciers 10 million years ago. You will learn what makes a fjord and how was it shaped, and why the waters of the Saguenay river are so dark and salty. Learn about the sand dunes (or are they marine terraces?), and which species can be regularly observed in the park. You'll also hear about the habits of the St Lawrence Seaway's endearing beluga whales.

Come re-live the important events that have marked the history of the Saguenay region, starting with its ‘discovery’ by Jacques Cartier. You will also witness the colonization, the Great Fire of 1870, the Flood of 1996 as well as other history-making events. La Fabuleuse is an exhilarating live stage show.

Discover the importance of Saguenay Fjord, deeply chiseled into the Laurentian Mountains and once a natural trading route for the First Nations people. In the 1600s, France established its first fur trading post here. Colonization of the area soon followed. The glass-maker's goal is to develop top-of-the-line decorative objects such as whales, blueberries, fruits, lamps, perfumers, and more. His creations integrate his art with architecture. Limited-series sculptures incorporate granite, glass, aluminum, bronze, or steel -- contrasts in strength and fragility.

The Moosehead Brewery, located in Saint John, New Brunswick, operates with values that have been safeguarded by the same family for 150 years.
