This fascinating excursion starts with a Korean BBQ. The term Korean barbecue or Gogigui (meat roast) in Korean refers to the Korean method of roasting various types of meat and vegetable. Constructed between 1601 and 1611 by feudal lord Yamanouchi Kazutoyo, Kochi Castle is the city's most well- known landmark. Set atop Otakasa Hill, the impressive structure is the only castle in the country with its wooden interior, castle tower, and impressive entrance still intact. The "donjon," or main tower, provides celebrated, panoramic views of the whole city, making it well worth the climb to the top. Designated as a National Natural Monument, Ryugado Cave set on the slopes of Mt. Believed to date back 150 million years, this magical and mystical limestone cave is just one of the largest three of its kind in Japan.
