Take off from Lake Hood, the world’s largest seaplane base for a spectacular seaplane adventure! Experience a true Alaskan mode of transportation while enjoying an aerial view of Anchorage and its surrounding wilderness. You’ll soar over the magnificent Chugach Mountain range surrounding Anchorage and through remote, secluded valleys over Turnagain Arm, named by Captain James Cook. Return to Anchorage and enjoy a bird’s eye view of the skyline and mountains before a thrilling water landing.

The Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum offers an in-depth exploration of Alaska's unique aviation history. Your tour will be led by an experienced museum staffer. Learn about the pioneers of Alaska aviation, see their restored aircraft, discover the bush pilot roots of modern day Alaska Airlines and then take turns to fly yourself in the museum's flight simulator. The aircraft collection includes a 1928 Stearman, a 1931 American Pilgrim, 1943 PBY-5A Catalina, a 1944 Grumman Goose, a 1953 Douglas DC-6, an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737, a McDonnell Douglas/Boeing F-15 and many others.

Upgrade your journey between Anchorage and Whittier by adding a cruisetrain to your Alaska adventure. Upon your arrival in Anchorage, you will embark the train at the Alaska Railway Depot for a relaxing train ride to Whittier. These unique, single level domed rail cars with great panoramic windows are just the perfect way to see this magnificent part of Alaska. Skirt the edge of the Turnagain Arm as you head for Whittier. Canyons, cascading waterfalls, glaciers and spectacular scenery await at every turn. Enjoy a meal at your table or in the Club Car—lunch, snacks and beverages are available for purchase. Upon arrival in Whittier, you will disembark at the cruise ship terminal.

Transfer to Kincaid Park in the forested hills along Cook Inlet. Kincaid Park is one of the largest parks within Anchorage. Allowing you to experience the wild side of Alaska's largest city, it is home to snowshoe hare, bald eagles, black bear and moose.

Enjoy an all-you-can-eat salmon bake feast. Savor Alaskan-caught wild salmon barbecued over an open alderwood fire served with a tasty secret sauce and accompanied by parmesan chicken, cheesy au gratin potatoes, baked beans with reindeer sausage, wild rice pilaf, a variety of salads, cornbread, lemonade, coffee, tea, hot apple cider, hot chocolate as well as blueberry cake for dessert. View Alaska's humpback whales and the Mendenhall Glacier on a small-group excursion (capacity is limited to 20 travelers) tailored for sensational encounters with nature. On a custom-built safari vessel, you'll seek out marine wildlife and step away from the crowds on a secluded rain forest trail -- two pristine habitats to explore on a single tour. Meet your driver shipside and relax as a Mercedes Sprinter van conveys you to Auke Bay, just 25 minutes from Juneau. Here, your captain welcomes you aboard the only luxury whale-watching day-yacht in Alaska. Set off for a morning or afternoon on the waters surrounding Juneau -- perhaps the best place in the entire world to observe humpback whales in the in summer. Take a motor coach ride to scenic Auke Bay and board a water-jet-powered catamaran specifically designed for wildlife viewing. Relax in the warm, comfortable cabin surrounded by large windows as you ply the island-studded waters of Stephens Passage. This area is world-renowned as a favored summer feeding ground for humpback whales. Once whales have been sighted, your captain will gently maneuver the vessel to allow exceptional viewing and photo opportunities as these graceful ocean giants slowly arc their massive tail flukes into the air. The whales are often close enough to hear them breathe.

The caravan of karts sets off to explore the remote backcountry along several miles of improved forest trail, with your guide in the lead ATV. Feel the rush of adrenaline at the start of your journey in a custom-designed Tomcar that tests your ability to traverse through the wilderness. The road climbs to reveal unparalleled views of the Tongass National Forest, Behm Canal and Alaska's fabled Inside Passage.

Take off from Ketchikan on a 20-minute flight by floatplane, headed to a remote site in the Tongass National Forest noted for its salmon-rich streams and abundant wildlife. You'll be paired up with traveling companions in groups of four, and begin the adventure into the mountainous roads of the Tongass National Forest.

Meet your tandem kayak and listen to a safety briefing from your guide. Gain confidence as you paddle out to Eagle Islands. The protected waters provide the opportunity to experience the tranquil, lush, green setting of the Tongass National Forest.
