Pass through the visually stunning countryside in the Puna district just outside Hilo, where you will see lava fields from past eruptions and an extraordinary black-sand beach composed of lava fragments. According to legend, the volatile Hawaiian volcano goddess Pele lives in the district’s Kīlauea volcano. She not only creates new land, but also destroys what stands in the path of the lava, which is known as “frozen fire” once it cools and hardens. However, the historical Painted Church was spared during Kīlauea’s eruption in 1990 when the entire structure was lifted off its foundation and moved to safety. While browsing the wooden church, which features wonderful painted ceiling frescoes, you will hear more about its salvation. You will also visit a newly formed black-sand beach to learn intriguing details about the volcanic eruption that created it. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to shop for locally made merchandise and meander along Hilo Bay.

The exquisite beauty and undersea dwellers of Bora Bora's lagoon are for you to discover during this shark and stingray snorkeling safari aboard a covered lagoon cruiser. Your boat heads toward the ancient crater rim of Motu Tapu, dropping anchor on a shallow sandbank. You'll have the opportunity to discover first-hand the elegant, yet harmless stingrays. Watch in amazement as your guide hand feeds the stingrays while they glide effortlessly around you. If you are willing, your guide will even help you get close enough to touch them. There is also a good chance you’ll see some harmless black tip sharks in the lagoon as well, so keep an eye out for them.

An amazing day on Bora Bora’s lagoon awaits you as you experience its pristine waters and coral garden, followed by a traditional Polynesian lunch on a private motu. It’s a short cruise to the Coral Garden where you will have the opportunity to snorkel and to discover the lagoon’s ecosystem and its many fish. You’ll be treated to a stingray encounter as your guide introduces you to these gentle rays that will surround you in the shallow waters. Then it’s on to your next stop at the reef where you might spot black-tip and lemon sharks among the sea life.

Embrace Bora Bora's pristine natural beauty in this exciting off-road adventure along the road less traveled. With your guide at the wheel, expect a bumpy ride with steep ascents and descents, enjoying some breathtaking sightseeing.

Cruise to the island of Tahaa to visit a vanilla farm and then visit a small islet nearby to comb the beaches, snorkel and enjoy a typical Polynesian picnic lunch. After departing from the pier in a boat, you will soon enter the protected turquoise lagoon that encircles Raiatea, an island whose name translates to faraway heaven. Upon arriving at the nearby island of Tahaa, it’s a short walk to reach the vanilla plantation. Seventy percent of the vanilla grown in French Polynesia is from Tahaa and it makes for a wonderfully fragrant setting. While strolling about, you can expect to see and smell aromatic vanilla pods curing in the sun. You may also walk among the rows of climbing orchids that produce the pods and learn how they are hand-pollinated. You will also have time to shop for vanilla-infused products.

Explore Raiatea's abundant flora and fauna during this journey through the on a motorized outrigger canoe with a breach break at one of the many small islets. Board your motorized outrigger canoe at the pier and glide over the waters of Raiatea's deep blue lagoon towards the mouth of the Faaroa River; Polynesia's only navigable river. Along the way, you will see wild hibiscus, or purau, bamboo groves, chestnut trees, ginger flowers, villages and more. Your guide will also share a bit of Polynesian history and folklore.

Start your tour with a leisurely drive through the "Hilo Walk of Fame” known for all the banyan trees that have been planted by celebrities. Drive by Liliuokalani Gardens, the largest ornamental Japanese garden outside of Japan.
