Journey along the 27-mile Park Loop Road, which will take you along the ocean’s edge past Sand Beach, Schooner Head Overlook, and the High Seas mansion built by a wealthy gentleman whose wife perished on the Titanic.

This tour combines the highlights of the Acadia National Park tour with a true Downeast lobster bake. You will pass through the quaint town of Bar Harbor and drive by opulent summer ‘cottages’ before entering Acadia National Park.

This panoramic drive begins by passing the Village Green, where you will see Bar Harbor’s clock and the village bandstand -- a focal point on summer evenings when locals gathered to hear the marches of John Philip Sousa and other popular music.

Experience the famed carriage roads of Acadia by crisscrossing some of the most scenic areas of the park. The trails were constructed by John D. Rockefeller Jr. beginning in 1913; they have been recently refurbished and are in excellent condition, still closed to all motorized traffic.

Sea kayaking is easy to learn, and this tour is suitable for beginners. Anyone in good physical condition can participate. You’ll leave here with iconic photos to treasure for a lifetime.

From the moment you leave the pier, your kilted guide will point out interesting sites and vistas all the way to Peggy’s Cove. Here, you will see for yourself the impressive rock formations and coastal beauty of this rustic, working fishing village. At the lighthouse -- perhaps the most-photographed building in Canada -- take spectacular photos of the building against the surrounding rock. Take advantage of some free time to explore on your own the galleries and shops of Peggy’s Cove. Take photos, talk to the locals, or try the famous and fabulous local gingerbread. If you wish, join your guide for a live lobster demonstration -- you can even hold a live lobster if you’re game.

See Halifax’s charming architecture and tree-lined streets -- remnants of its fascinating 269-year history -- as your guide tells of the pirates and princes, press gangs and brewers who have helped shape the city.

Meet your guide at the pier and walk to the heliport in Qaqortoq. Listen to brief safety instructions and step aboard the helicopter; then, you'll take off towards the glacier, seeing Arctic mountains, fjords and fields from above.

Meet your guide at the pier and walk across town to where the real adventures begins. You'll set out on the trail that leads around the large lake behind the town. Your guide will tell you all about the Greenland's natural environment -- the vegetation, native and endemic animals, and how the lake is made by the Inland Ice Sheet.

Eric the Red visited Greenland for the first time in AD 982. Your visit today includes much of the scenery that he would have seen a thousand years ago. Board a boat at the Qaqortoq marina and motor across the fjord the surrounds the town. Your destination is the church in Hvalsø, built in AD 1300. Hvalsø was the last place in Greenland to be inhabited by the Norse. When the Medieval Warming Period came to an end, the Vikings returned to Norway. Evidence of their time here remains in the physical form of stone ruins, and in written form in the magnificent Sagas. Visit the church, which was the site of the last Viking wedding in Greenland. It is still one of the best-preserved churches in all of Greenland. Take the time to sit close to the walls and imagine Arctic life back in the 14th century, when Greenland really was green.

Set off from the pier on a guided walk through the town of Qaqortoq. You will pass the museum and the town's famous fountain en route to the Old Town area Watch for the church and for local shops selling everything from household items to reindeer skins and hand-made souvenirs. You'll also see Qaqortoq's school. As you walk, your guide will tell you all about life in the Arctic. You'll gain some insights into the life and times of the largest village in South Greenland with an impressive 3,500 inhabitants.

You've done hot springs before, but not like this. Hot springs normally come from volcanic activity, but here in Greenland, the springs are so deep that the heat comes from under the earth's mantle. Relaxing in these very special pools comes complete with a view towards the icebergs floating in the fjord beside you.

The Blue Lagoon is located southeast of Reykjavík, near the fishing village of Grindavík, on the Reykjanes peninsula. A high-temperature geothermal field supplies the Reykjanes district with hot water and steam to run a power plant, and it is the mineral-rich overflow water from this operation that fills the bathing lagoon. The geothermal water is pumped up from 6,000 feet below the earth's surface. High levels of silica, minerals and algae give the Blue Lagoon its rich, blue color and also form a light natural sediment on the bottom.
