Jeju's indigenous folklore and diverse culture can be found in miniature at the Natural History Museum in Jeju City. Exhibits throughout the six halls show off Jeju's geography, religion, flora and fauna.

Cheonjeyeon Falls--the pond of God--is a three-part cascade. Around the falls, a variety of plant life thrives, including the rare solipnan reeds. To the east, there is a cave where cold water pours from the ceiling to create a waterfall. The water from the first waterfall becomes the second and third waterfalls and flows into the sea. In Cheonjeyeon Valley, you will see the Seonimgyo Bridge with seven nymphs carved on the side and and the octagonal Cheonjeru Tower. The surface of the Cheonjeru Tower is features a painting that tells Cheonjeyeon's legend of the nymph and mountain god. Every other May, the Chilseonyeo Festival is held here.

Seongeup Folk Village is a small town located at the foot of Mt Halla on Jeju Island. Cultural properties in the folk village have been handed down from generation to generation and include treasures such as residential houses, Confucian shrines and schools, ancient government offices, stone statues, large millstones (pulled by horses or oxen), fortress ruins and stone monuments. Among the cultural gems of the folk village are intangible cultural assets such as folk plays, native cuisine, local folk craftsmanship, and local dialect. Even the trees are an important part of the area's heritage. Several zelkova and nettle trees, hundreds of years old, stand at the center of the village, preserving the dignified atmosphere of a bygone era. The Seongeup Folk Village shows the unique architectural culture of Jeju Island- rock walls made of black lava, the straight but curvy alleys to block the wind, and the stone grandfather statues (Harubang), which have become a prime feature of the landscape. The local black-haired pigs and tongsi (pigsty/restroom) are especially well-known characteristics of Jeju folk culture.

Departing pier, you begin with a scenic drive to Hallim Park where you can enjoy the world class multi-faceted park such as Palm Tree Road, Lava caves, Folk village, Stone and Bonsai Garden and much more. The most popular sites are the underground world of Hyeopjae and sangyong lava caves which were formed by the volcano eruption of Mountain Halla and known to be the only-two dimentional caves in the world. Stalagmites and stalactites are seldom found in lava caves. In Jae-Am Folk Village, you can gain a glimpse into traditional life as you view traditional thatch houses, low stone fences,narrow alleys, Jeju's tallest stone 'Grand father' statue( Dolharubang ) known as symbolic of Jeju and many house hold products. In Jeju Stone and Bonsai Garden", you will find a large collection of bonsai trees ranging 300 years old pine tree and unique natural stones from all over the world.

Leaving the pier, this Geological tour leads you to Sangumburi Crater, designated as a Natural Monument, with about 650 m wide,100 m deep, and 2,070 m in circumference. If you look at the crater from above up, it looks like a man-made circular stadium. There is a variety of plant-life in the crater. On the north side, Nandaeseong vegetation such as red-thorn trees, and magnolia trees grow, along with the rare winter strawberries. On the south side of the crater, Ondaerim vegetation such as evergreens, maples, and mountain strawberry trees cover the area. Because so many different kinds of trees and plants grow in such a limited space, it attracts the attention of researchers as well

Departing the ship, you will travel along scenic drive to Jeju Haeneyo Museum. Haenyeo refers to female divers who dive into the ocean water to gather various shellfish, seaweed, etc, without using any underwater diving equipment. When diving underwater, a haenyeo carries only a pair of goggles, a round ball-like tube to keep her balance, and a basket to put her collections in. Such women involved in the fishing industry are known to be scattered all around Jeju-do, Korea, Japan, and Russia. Jeju-do has established the Jeju Haenyeo Museum to introduce to the world the unique activities and culture of Jejudo's haenyeo female divers. Exhibition Hall 1 is entitled "Haenyeo Diver's Life" and has a restoration of a traditional haenyeo's home, and her meals. Also on display, to show a more realistic view into their daily lives, are the various utensils used by female divers.

Step into Japan’s past on this half-day tour exploring Chiran, a historic stronghold of the Shimazu samurai and a poignant World War II site. Walk along a preserved Edo-period lane, lined with samurai residences and beautifully maintained gardens, offering a glimpse into the Feudal Era. Visit the Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots, which honors the Special Attack Corps with displays of recovered aircraft, personal mementos, and final letters written by the pilots. Conclude with a reflective drive back to the pier, enriched by the stories of Japan’s history.

Begin at Senganen Garden, a 17th-century formal garden offering views of Sakurajima volcano and Kagoshima Bay (weather permitting), alongside a visit to the Shoko Shuseikan Museum, chronicling the Shimazu clan’s legacy (temporarily replaced with a scenic drive in downtown Kagoshima). Continue to the Museum of the Meiji Restoration, where exhibits illuminate Japan’s transition from seclusion to modernization. Conclude at Terukuni Shrine, honoring Lord Shimazu Nariakira, a pivotal figure in Japan’s Westernization efforts, before returning to your ship.

Begin at the Arimura Lava Observatory for panoramic views of Sakurajima, one of Japan’s most active volcanoes (weather permitting). Constructed between 1601 and 1611 by feudal lord Yamanouchi Kazutoyo, Kochi Castle is the city's most well- known landmark. Set atop Otakasa Hill, the impressive structure is the only castle in the country with its wooden interior, castle tower, and impressive entrance still intact. The "donjon," or main tower, provides celebrated, panoramic views of the whole city, making it well worth the climb to the top. Your tour will take you past the beautifully restored Tsumemon Gate that connects the second citadel of the castle to its inner sanctum, and no visit to Kochi Castle would be complete without seeing the living quarters or "honmaru," which houses local and historical treasures, and items designated as Japan's Important Cultural Properties. Back outside, stroll the castle grounds, now a popular public park, dotted with magnificent statues of the Yamanouchi family.

Designated as a National Natural Monument, Ryugado Cave set on the slopes of Mt. Sampo offers an abundance of waterfalls and the ruins of a primitive pit house from the ancient Yayoi Period (300 B.C. to 300 A.D.). Believed to date back 150 million years, this magical and mystical limestone cave is just one of the largest three of its kind in Japan. In addition to spectacular stalactites, the cave is home to animals including bats, shrimps and crabs.

Impressionist Claude Monet's deep interest in Japanese artwork and culture was reflected throughout his farmhouse in Giverny, France. And his acclaimed garden has been replicated here within a seven-acre landscape. In the Flower Garden you'll find approximately 70,000 flowers and plants that change with the seasons. The Water Garden features a taiko bridge arched over a pond, Japanese wisteria trellis, willow and bamboo trees, and a selection of water lilies. The Light Garden is based on Monet's expedition to the Mediterranean Sea and includes palm trees, olive trees and other exotic flowers and plants.

Located on the tip of the Muroto Peninsula, the park not only showcases Kochi's natural beauty, but also its fascinating geological heritage. Muroto is a subduction zone: a place where one section of the earth's crust goes below another.
