Bari not only sits pretty on the Adriatic but is also blessed with a beguiling medieval quarter - Bari Vecchia - that this tour will have you exploring by bike. You'll meet your guide, then get a short safety briefing and after putting your helmet on, you'll set off at a pleasant pace. The first of the medieval views comes in the shape of the early 12th-century Castello Normanno-Svevo, built by the Norman King Roger II, as you cycle towards the Basilica di San Nicola, built between 1087 and 1197 in honour of Bari's patron saint. You'll visit the site before cycling down Strada del Carmine to pass Bari Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Sabinus, and consecrated at the tail end of the 13th-century. As a last treat on the bike ride, you'll pedal your way up to Castello Normanno-Svevo to enjoy superb panoramic views of the town and surrounding area. You'll then have some time to spend as you wish before returning to the port and your ship.

Discover the architectural wonders of beautiful Bari in this leisurely half-day excursion. Board a little wheeled train and get set to explore the city in all its glory. This guided tour of Bari will also bring you the opportunity of a stroll around the historical quarter of "Bari Vecchia" and its medieval architecture. A visit to the Basilica of St. Nicholas is included, built in honour of Bari's patron saint. Founded towards the end of the 11th-century A.D., the basilica has been an important religious pilgrimage site for nearly a thousand years. An exterior viewing of Bari's old Norman castle will form a further focal point of your tour itinerary before continuing with a guided walk through the historical centre. Some free time at leisure is also part of the tour before it concludes with the return to your ship. Please note: This tour is unsuitable for guests with walking difficulties. Guests are requested to wear appropriate attire for religious visits. Guests may choose to return to the port soon after the guided tour or to remain in Bari's city centre to have free time and come back to the port by shuttle bus later.

About a 1-hour coach drive up the coast from the port of Bari lies the pretty harbour town of Trani, your destination on this enjoyable tour, which combines a sightseeing leg with a chance to sample some of the delicious locally produced olive oil. Trani's long and rich history, which dates back to its 9th-century foundation, is still prominent in the town to this day. As you make your way around the town's history trail, your first stop will be Svevo Castle, an imposing 13th-century fortification of highly rectilinear construction that overlooks the sea. You will have some time to spend at your leisure before you continue on to the 11th-/12th-century Cathedral of San Nicola Pellegrino. Built in honour of San Nicola the Pilgrim, this magnificent Romanesque-style building is a real treasure, with the stunning stained-glass windows, the remains of a 12th-century mosaic floor and the transversal crypt dedicated to San Nicola particularly worthy of mention. The sightseeing leg of the tour ends with a refreshing walk along the seafront promenade before the coach then takes you to an old oil mill for an informative visit and a chance to tantalise your taste buds with some of the wonderful locally produced olive oil and other typically Puglian delicacies. Your return to the port and your ship ends the tour.

Leave the port of Bari for a scenic 1-hour coach ride through the Italian countryside to Alberobello, a town in the Apulia region that forms the top of the "heel" of the boot of Italy. Thanks to its distinctive round stone houses with conical roofs, known as "trulli", the town was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites in 1996. Your tour includes a guided walk through the delightful streets of this most unusual village. Many of these "trullo" houses are topped by a so-called "pinnacolo" - a sort of white cap or sphere - and all of them have curious symbols, possibly good-luck charms, painted on the roofs. The town also includes the only "trullo" church in the world, St. Antonio which can be easily recognized with its monumental entrance, two side chapels and a bell tower. If there is time, you will also go on a short sightseeing tour of Bari by coach before you return to the port and your ship.

Leave the port for a 1-hour drive to the Caves of Castellana where we will meet our guide for a fantastic subterranean journey through the cave complex. The caves were first explored in 1938, although their existence had been known since the XVIII century. At 60 metres deep, marvel at the cave chambers and the myriad of alabaster stalagmites and stalactites encrusted with calcite crystals. Back above ground we will travel on to Polignano a Mare, a lovely town perched high on a rock with wonderful views over the sea. Explore the whitewashed streets meandering under the flowered arches and enjoy the hillside terrace that overlook the sea.

Enjoy a 1-hour drive to Matera, the city of the weird and wonderful "Sassi", caves and the first town in the world to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your journey will be enhanced by some information you will receive by an assistant before reaching this amazing location. These caves were inhabited from the Neolithic times right up until 1952. Perhaps because of its unique and tangible history, the atmosphere here is extraordinary and the place exudes a mystic air. You visit "Casa Grotta", a furnished Sassi cave museum house, giving you an insight into people's life in the past in these peculiar houses, and even a rocky church, which is the symbol of the local culture. Many film directors have chosen to set films in Matera, as it is such an evocative place and Mel Gibson's controversial film, "The Passion of the Christ", was shot here.

Time to do nothing but hang loose, stretch out on golden sands, and ponder the meaning of life are what holidays are all about. Hop on your coach for a transfer to a beach club on the coast of Monopoli area and spend approx. 3 hours making the best of your time, working on your tan or swimming in the crystal sea. The beach club is equipped with sun umbrellas and beach chairs to make your stay pleasant and relaxing. The excursion concludes with the drive back to the port of Bari.

Dedicate a day to exploring the Eternal City on a gentle biking route through mainly pedestrianised areas and side roads with little traffic. First, though, you'll board a coach for the transfer to Circus Maximus, from where you'll then follow your guide by bike. The escorted tour will take you past such iconic landmarks as the Capitol, Pantheon, the fountains on Piazza Navona, Castel Sant'Angelo, the world-famous Spanish Steps and the equally notable Trevi Fountain, the one in which it is customary to toss a coin for good luck. Also, on the cycling itinerary are views of the Roman Forum, People's Square and Villa Borghese and the Colosseum. A stop is scheduled at St. Peter's Square, home to St. Peter's Basilica, so you can have a bit of a breather and enjoy the surroundings. Your bike ride will also include plenty of stops to take photos of all you see and at the end, you'll rejoin your coach for the relaxing return journey to your ship.

The Eternal City has hosted its annual International Exhibition of Nativity Scenes, your main destination on this all-day outing, for more than four decades now. A 1.5-hour drive to Rome begins the tour, after which you'll enjoy a narrated drive, passing the Pyramid, Baths of Caracalla, Circus Maximus, Arch of Constantine, Colosseum and Via Veneto. Next, you'll get to walk to the Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna at the base of the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon en route to Piazza Navona, one of Rome's famous squares where free time for lunch will be allowed. Finally you will be transferred to St.Peter's, at the exhibition centre, feel free to unleash your inner Christmas elf and browse the beautiful Nativity scenes at your leisure. Coming from all over the world and made of a wide variety of materials, these scenes are a massed celebration of seasonal spirit. Next, you'll have another hour to enjoy a visit of St. Peter's Basilica  along with its Christmas tree in the forecourt  in Vatican City before you return to the ship.

This tour is especially intended for all guests disembarking and wanting to enjoy a sightseeing tour of the eternal city. After boarding a coach, a 1.5-hour drive will take you to Italy's capital city and its wonders. Meet your guide and enjoy a coach drive passing by Rome's main tourist sites including Cestia Pyramid, Caracalla Baths, "Circus Massimus", the Colosseo, the romantic "Lungotevere" and the Dolce Vita's street, Via Veneto, until reaching St. Peter's Square. You will have time to explore on your own and, if you like, visit the Basilica. Your guide will be happy to provide information on the site beforehand. Next, reach your coach and continue to Fiumicino airport.

All roads may lead to Rome, but the Tiber is the river that gave the city its birth and its life. See Rome like you've never seen it before! Leave the port, enjoy the coach drive to Rome, meet your guide and begin a short sightseeing coach of the city passing the Colosseum and the Circus Maximus. At Lungotevere, you will get off the coach for a pleasant walk through Trastevere, one of the most authentic Roman quarters. Enjoy a tasting of local products in a typical open-air market. Visit the famous church of Santa Maria in Trastevere and the colourful Via della Lungaretta with its several osteria restaurants. Legend has it that the only island in the River Tiber is where Rome had its beginnings. Enjoy a relaxing and interesting 20-minute cruise on the river. Disembark at Castel Sant'Angelo for the second leg of your walking tour including the Vatican area with Via della Conciliazione and external look at St. Peter's Basilica. Next, discover the amazing sights of Baroque Rome, including Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, and the Via Condotti and its famous VIP shops, Via del Babbuino, Piazza del Popolo and Viale Washington. Some free time will be scheduled along the itinerary. Board your coach to head back to your ship.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do: know your pasta dishes! Aiming to turn you into a true pasta connoisseur, this all-day outing not only reveals the best of Rome, but also includes a palate-popping pasta-tasting session during a sit-down lunch with a glass of wine. A 1.5-hour coach ride will see you reach Rome, followed by coach-based views of the Pyramid, Circus Maximus, and Caracalla Baths, plus a photo stop at the Colosseum. Back on the coach, you'll cross St. John's Square, St. Mary Major and Piazza della Repubblica to reach Ludovisi Parking and walk to the Trevi Fountain into which you should toss a coin. Stroll through the Baroque quarter, with the Pantheon and Navona Square. Finally, it's time to savour a sit-down pasta-tasting lunch, accompanied by a glass of wine. Learn the difference between Amatriciana, carbonara, gricia and cacio & pepe - classic Roman pasta sauces. With ingredients such as guanciale (cured pork cheek), pecorino cheese, eggs, tomatoes, and black pepper to tempt your taste buds, lunch promises to be truly delicious. Lastly, enjoy passing views of Castel Sant'Angelo and St. Peter's Dome on the way back.

An all-day date with the Eternal City awaits you on this outing, which begins with a relaxing 1.5-hour coach ride from the port. On arrival, you'll meet your guide and embark on a sightseeing route that includes the Pyramid of Cestius, the Baths of Caracalla, the ancient chariot racing stadium Circus Maximus, the city centre, and a photo stop at the Colosseum. You'll then take your leave of Rome and move on to Vatican City, where you can attend the Pope's Sunday Angelus on St. Peter's Square if you wish. Your guide will provide you with some information on the square and its splendid obelisk, after which you'll have about 2 hours to explore on your own. Get your Papal blessing at the Angelus or use the time to have lunch (at extra cost). Next up, you'll find yourself taking a stroll along the banks of the River Tiber and crossing the St. Angelo Bridge to reach Piazza Navona, one of Rome's most beautiful, and then passing the Pantheon before you re-board the coach for the unguided return journey to the port.

The origins of Tuscania goes back to the myth and legends; some want the town to be founded by Hercules' son, some others by Aeneas' son, Ascanius. Your excursion will begin with a 50-minute coach drive across the beautiful landscape until reaching the village of Tuscania. Enjoy a guided walking tour of its historical centre, surrounded by medieval walls and marvel at the view from the Tower of Lavello. Your guide will point out the village's main sights including the Church of Saint Peter; a unique opportunity to feel the atmosphere of central Italy's little villages. Next, after boarding your coach again, you will drive to Tarquinia, one of the 12 Etruscan cities in the past. Your guide will take you on an interesting itinerary to discover of this important village in the heart of Tuscia territory.

Just a short coach drive from Corfu port in the town of Agios Ioannis lies the largest waterpark in the whole of Greece: Aqualand. This is an ideal destination for the whole family with any number of water-based attractions to keep you entertained. Have a go on the Giant Slides, the Multislide, the Black Hole, the Four Twisters, the Kamikazees, the Crazy River or the Hydritube for bags of watery fun. For younger guests, the park also provides special children's areas such as a shallow pool and waterslides as well as the Slippery Octopus, Screaming Frog and Shower Mushroom. Croatias mountainous Lika region is where youll find the vast Plitvice Lakes National Park, the nations largest of eight and about a 2.5-hour coach ride from the port. The park is home to a total of 16 lakes, separated by dams of travertine, which in turn are formed by deposits of moss, algae and bacteria. Of these 16, 12 are called the Upper Lakes, or Gornja jezera, and four the Lower Lakes, or Donja jezera. Intending to familiarise you with the town's particularly rich religious heritage, the tour begins with a visit to the 9th-century pre-Romanesque Church of St. Donatus, a rotunda that occupies the north-eastern corner of the old Roman forum. Next up is the monumental interior of the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, built partly in the 4th and 5th, partly in the 12th and 13th centuries, after which you'll move on to the 11th-century Church of St. Mary, situated on the eastern part of the Roman forum. Paklenica was made a national park in 1949 in an effort to protect Dalmatia's largest forest complex, which had come under threat due to overexploitation. Your 3-hour hike through the majestic terrain will deliver fabulous views of this highly varied mountain landscape, along with a surfeit of flora and fauna. Among the wildlife found in the park are roe deer, chamois, brown bears and numerous other mammals, a variety of birdlife including golden eagles, peregrine falcons and woodpeckers as well as the rare meadow viper, whose conservation status is classified as vulnerable. Queen's Beach is located just 30 minutes' drive from the port of Zadar in the shallow lagoon of the nearby city Nin. The legend claims it takes its name from the unknown queen, wife of the first Croatian king Tomislav, who loved to spend time on the beach, enchanted by the magnificent view over the Velebit Mountain. This sandy beach is 3 km long and its beauty attracts many visitors and tourist in search for refreshment during hot summer days. Moreover, due to its shallow water, it is ideal for families with children but also for the non-swimmers and nature lovers. This beach is also known for the healing peloid mud that can be found there. The therapy, which usually lasts from ten to twenty days, involves covering the body with the mud, then sunbathing on the sandy beach, then rinsing off the mud with warm sea water. Enjoy time in the sun, working on your tan, and swimming in the blue sea. At the fixed time, the coach will take you back to the port.
