Combine a pleasant walk in the fresh air with an exploration of some of Barcelona's most notable sights on an outing that begin with a short coach ride from the port. You'll then set off on a guided stroll, with the first landmark being the Columbus Monument at the lower end of La Rambla avenue. The 60 m/197 ft. monument was constructed in 1888 in honour of Columbus' first voyage to the New World. An entertaining day of cultural sightseeing awaits you here, starting with a 1.5-hour coach ride to the historical city of Girona. You'll head for the excellently preserved Jewish quarter for an external look at the Isaac el Cec Jewish Centre, the site of 12th-century Romanesque baths, also called the Arab Baths due to their Moorish appearance. Moving on again, you'll then head for the town of Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. Starting at the new cathedral, consecrated in 1975, you will head for the old town and the 13th-century Abbey Church of Santa Maria Assunta, whose various restorations and marble sculptures inside serve to chart La Spezia's history. Your walk continues, taking you down Via del Prione en route to the 13th-century Castello di San Giorgio. You will also visit the co-located Civic Museum, which was founded in 1873 and currently showcases zoological and historical exhibits, including maps, documents, parchments and artefacts found at the nearby Lunigiana archaeological site. Famed as Galileo Galilei's 16th-century place of birth and as the home of the world's best known tower, the city of Pisa is your destination on this transfer-only tour. Immortalised by artists like Monet, Degas and van Gogh, the entrancing Tuscan countryside is one you can savour during the initial drive from La Spezia to the little town of Lucca, your destination on this entertaining tour. Founded by the ancient Etruscans and still enclosed by a set of fully intact Renaissance walls, Lucca offers visitors a step back in time. A walk through the historical streets will take you past Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, built on the site of the former Roman amphitheatre, en route to an inside visit of the Church of San Michele in Foro. First mentioned as early as A.D. 795, then rebuilt post-1070 by order of Pope Alexander II and finally given its current ornate façade onwards of the 13th-century, the church features a nave, two aisles, a semi-circular apse and mullioned windows. Next up is Lucca's Cathedral of San Martino, whose construction began in 1063 in Roman style, while the present-day building is Gothic due to 14th-century restoration work. You'll then have some time to spend as you please before an approx. 30-minute drive takes you to Montecarlo, a small community and wine growing region noted for producing the "best Tuscan whites". Your destination is a local farmhouse for a taste of homemade food and a chance to visit the wine cellars, the wine production and olive oil pressing areas. This special treat will be followed by your return trip to your ship, which ends the tour.

Explore Palermo on an electrically powered bike that will assist you as you discover the beauty of the city. After picking up your e-bike at the port, youll head for the promontory of Monte Pellegrino, 620 metres above sea level. Following a paved road, you will first reach the Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, built inside a cave near the top of Monte Pellegrino. Visit the sacred cave and see the bones of the saint, then enjoy the enchanting view of the Mondello Gulf and the city below. Before starting the descent along an old cobbled road  nowadays used by pilgrims  stop to recover your strength at the "Sosta del ciclista" where you can taste some authentic Palermo street food. Going down the promontory, youll reach the Parco della Favorita, the green lung of the city, and Mondello, where you will have some time to relax on the beach. Finally, enjoy a photo stop at the exquisite Chinese Palazzina, built in the 18th century. Your tour wraps up with your return to the port. This Christmas-themed outing to the mountain town of Erice  which stands atop Mount Erice at approx. 750 m above mean sea level  begins with about 1.5 hours on the coach, after which a mere 10-minute walk will see you reach your first stop: the 14th-century Gothic "Mother Church". Continue walking through town to the Cordici Museum, whose exhibits include archaeological finds, decorative artefacts, a weapons room, paintings, sculptures and contemporary art. On reaching Erice's La Loggia Square, you'll have time to explore the magical Christmas market, with stalls selling wine, local crafts and food. Last on the itinerary is an outside photo stop at the 12th-century Norman Castle, which sits on an isolated cliff in the southeast of Mount Erice. Photo-worthy views of the valley and the Saline nature reserve follow on the way back to the ship.

Joining this outing is sure to give you a thorough workout as you pedal around Palermo's hinterland on an approx. 40-km route with a 600-m gain in elevation. After leaving the confines of the city, you'll first cycle through the village of Arenella to reach the foothills of Monte Pellegrino, Palermo's neighbourhood mountain. Then you'll climb 500 m on a 7km uphill trail to reach the Santa Rosalia pilgrimage site, dedicated to the patron saint of Palermo. Take a break and browse the souvenir stalls at the site before continuing onwards and upwards to reach one of Monte Pellegrino's nearby viewpoints  perfect for taking photos. Further photo-worthy vistas follow on the way down before you reach the Bay of Mondello, where a white sand beach and turquoise water await you. Time to relax or go for a refreshing swim will be yours at the beach, which is also served by numerous small cafés if you prefer to chill out with a drink. The final leg will give you one last chance to soak up gorgeous coastal views before you return to the ship. Please note: the tour involves arduous and in part uphill cycling along an approx. 40-km route and is considered to be suitable only for guests with a high level of physical fitness. Children are allowed to take part in this tour provided their height is 155 cm. A declaration of agreement must be signed by an adult with parental authority for children before authorisation can be given for such guests to take part.
