Situated on the shores of the Red Sea in the south of the country, the bustling city of Aqaba is Jordan's only seaport. A short 15-minute drive by coach will take you south to a beach club for some leisurely time off the ship. A drink will be served to welcome you at the club, after which a few hours will be yours to do whatever you please. Enjoy the resort amenities as you relax or swim in the pool or go for a refreshing dip in the Red Sea. This fun-packed experience of sun, sea and sand comes to a pleasant close with your return journey to the port and your ship.

Leave the port for a 1-hour 15-minute drive to Wadi Rum and feel the romance of the Arabian Desert. In this timeless and beautiful valley rises Wadi Rum, amidst sand dunes that shimmer across the rose-red desert sand. The Wadi Rum area has been inhabited since prehistoric periods and geologists have found slabs of rock with inscriptions in early Tahamudic writings throughout the valley. After your arrival at Wadi Rum, you will board a 4WD vehicle for a two-hour drive through magnificent desert scenery. Your next stop will be a desert camp where you will enjoy Arabic tea in a traditional Bedouin tent. Return to the port.

If it's rose-red in colour, situated in the middle of the Jordanian desert and reputed to be half as old as time itself, the destination of this all-day excursion can only be the amazing ancient city of Petra. Having laid hidden for centuries, Johann Ludwig Burckhardt, a Swiss explorer rediscovered this jewel of early engineering in 1812 and then unveiled it to the rest of the world. Situated about a 2-hour coach ride to the north of Aqaba, the city was hewn out of the solid rock by Nabatean Arabs more than 2.000 years ago and served as their capital city. These clever Arab architects even succeeded in bringing fresh water to their town using a sophisticated water conduit system, which turned the city into an artificial oasis. Your exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site begins with a walk through the narrow "Siq", a stunning natural canyon that winds its way through towering rocks. As you emerge from the canyon, the bright daylight will reveal Petra in all its rose-hued glory. Carved into the cliff and rising several storeys high, the surprisingly well-preserved colonnaded structures have more than stood the test of time. The guided tour of the site will also include the large amphitheatre and the royal tombs. To cap off your incredible sightseeing tour of this ancient city, a delicious lunch is included in the excursion in a nearby hotel. The scenic return journey in the comfort of your air-conditioned coach will bring this fabulous outing to a leisurely close.

Located some way to the north of Aqaba in the middle of the Jordanian desert lies one of the most spectacular sights this world has to offer, the ancient city of Petra. Considered to be "one of the most precious properties of man's cultural heritage" by the UNESCO council and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985, the city is famed particularly for the rose-red hue of the rock out of which it was hewn by ancient Nabatean Arabs c. 312 B.C.. After leaving your ship and boarding an air-conditioned coach, the first leg of tour will take you on a roughly 2-hour drive through the scenic Jordanian landscape to reach the ancient city. A walk through the narrow "Siq", a shadowy ravine that carves its way through sheer walls of rock, then follows to reach Petra itself. Prepare for the big reveal as you come out of the ravine, when the sudden sunshine will illuminate the palatial pink city rising majestically out of the rock face. Incredibly, the sizeable ancient city, which once served as the capital of the Nabatean Arabs and even boasted a conduit system that gave the town potable water, lay hidden from the world for more than 1.000 years until it was finally rediscovered by a Swiss explorer in 1812. Your guided tour of the extremely well-preserved site will also include visits to the Nabatean Theatre, temples, the royal tombs, and time to enjoy your packed lunch in a designated venue.

Spend some time on a private beach in Aqaba at the five stars Moevenpick Resort. Relax at the beach by the Red Sea or enjoy this five-star resort's swimming pools, Jacuzzi, a sauna, and a whirlpool. Take a look at the roomy sun terraces and at the outdoor restaurant. The resort also includes children activities and a shop if you wish to take a souvenir home for your friends. On top a top range of water sports activities, you may find parasailing, water skiing and jet skiing, banana, and tube, all available at extra charge to be paid at the resort.

This enjoyable tour of discovery teams a drive through the Arabian desert with a visit to a Bedouin camp for lunch. You'll begin your outing with a 1.15-hour coach transfer to Wadi Rum, where you'll then board a 4x4 vehicle for an explorative 2-hour trip through rose-red sand dunes. Enjoy the romance of the desert as you travel, an area inhabited since prehistoric times and home to rocks bearing traces of early Tahamudic writing. You'll be heading for a Bedouin camp, where a warm welcome and a tasty lunch await you. The return journey back to your ship will deliver more stunning desert views and give you time to relax.

Only a short 10-minute transfer separates you from a few hours of pure relaxation and fun. Once at the Saraya Beach Club, sit back and unwind by the swimming pools or the golden sandy beaches of the central lagoon. The Club is ideal for the whole family: facilities include swimming pool, kids pool and play area, restaurant, children activities and live DJ, free Wi-Fi and water sports managed by third party. All that you need to spend some time in style.

With colourful artwork, oriental scents and traditional architecture, there is no better place than Jeddah to discover the rich and vibrant culture of Saudi Arabia. Leave the port and begin a journey through the streets of old Jeddah, a unique experience involving all senses. Your guide will take you to the streets of the old town, Al Balad, a UNESCO's heritage site with its many streets and hidden jewels. Founded in the 7th century, Al Balad was the core of the city until locals began to move to other districts of the city due to the growth of wealth of Jeddah. You will discover the old market and marvel at Beit Nassif historical house with its 106 rooms filled with admirable artwork and traditional furniture. Your sightseeing tour of Jeddah will also include private art galleries and museums on the itinerary to complete this unique experience and have a perfect picture at the City Gate.

The chance to collect photos for your holiday album and discover the beauty of the flora and fauna of the Red Sea while staying dry are just some of the thrills you will experience during this half-day excursion. A coach transfer to Al Balad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will allow you to take a few photos at the North Gate, an excellent location to admire and take some shots of the most remarkable examples of traditional Saudi Architecture. Continue with a short sightseeing coach drive through the modern Jeddah and along the Corniche to see the contrast between the modern streets of the new city centre and the traditional district still intact. The second part of the tour is dedicated to the visit of Fakieh Aquarium, the only aquarium in Saudi Arabia. More than two hundred marine animals are found to be here, including some rare species like the green turtles and the dragonfish. The visit is a unique experience that will seduce both adults and children. See the many tanks and feel like you are under the sea while you walk through the undersea tunnel. Magic!

The magnificence of the site of Hegra, in the same spectacular style as Petra, the striking and imposing Elephant Rock and the timeless beauty of the old town of AlUla are the destinations of this full-day excursion. Your tour begins with an unguided an hour coach drive to the airport to board a plane and enjoy an approx. 1-hour flight to AlUla. Your guide will meet you at AlUla airport and will take you on a tour of the extraordinary archaeological site of Hegra. The second most important city of the Nabateans, Hegra was almost unknown in the desert sands for centuries and in 2008 became the first UNESCO site in Saudi Arabia. The guided tour will allow you to discover some of its monuments  there are more than a hundred at the site  and especially the imposing tomb of Lihyan, son of Kuza, 72-feet in height and standing tall, solitary and unfinished in the desert landscape. Continue on to the ancient city of AlUla, situated in a desert setting in the Hijaz mountains and where pilgrims, travellers and permanent settlers have gathered over the centuries. Surrounded by an ancient oasis, the old town of AlUla is dominated by a citadel dating back to the 10th century and has some 900 brick houses, 400 shops and an atmospheric maze of alleyways and squares. A stop for a typical buffet lunch will also allow you to recover your energy before reaching the last leg of the tour. Get your cameras ready because the two monolithic rocks, the "trunk" and the "body", which stand out against the desert backdrop have been shaped over the centuries by the weather into the shape of an elephant. And a selfie in front of the famous Elephant Rock is a must! A unique experience that completes this extraordinary day of discovery of Saudi treasures.

History and ancient civilisations, archaeology and the boundless landscapes of Saudi Arabia's red sand desert are the ingredients of this full-day excursion to two of the country's most important archaeological sites: Hegra and the city of Dadan. Remaining virtually unknown in the Saudi desert for centuries, the city of Hegra became the first site in Saudi Arabia to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. Also known by the name of Mada'in Salih, Hegra has a very ancient origin, being the second most important city of the Nabateans, after Petra in Jordan, and located in the southern part of their kingdom. Your tour begins with an hour coach drive to the airport to board a plane and enjoy an approx. 2-hour flight to AlUla. Your guide will meet you at AlUla airport and will take you on a tour of the site will give you an idea of the construction skills of the Nabateans at a site that includes more than a hundred monuments. Your guide will show you some of these tombs whose façades are often decorated with mythical figures. Don't miss the tomb of Lihyan, son of Kuza, 72-feet in height and standing tall, solitary, and unfinished in the desert landscape. Also known as the Alfareed Tomb, it will undoubtedly be worth more than a photograph for your memory book. It is in fact one of the iconic monuments of the entire site. After a break at a restaurant for a well-deserved rest and to enjoy a typical buffet lunch, you will continue the tour with a 45-minute drive to another incredible archaeological site, the city of Dadan, capital of the Dadan kingdom in the 4th century BC, built on the ancient incense route with desert stone in the middle of an oasis. Spend about an hour touring this ancient city to discover more than a dozen monuments carved from red desert rock, the most impressive of which is the Tomb of the Lions. Sitting lions, a symbol of power and protection, mark the burial place of the royal family. The tour concludes with the transfer to AlUla airport to board a plane back to Jeddah port and join your ship.

Regarded as the holiest city for the Muslim religion, Makkah is located in the centre of seven hills and will be the destination of this half-day excursion, a unique opportunity for guests of Muslim faith. The birthplace of Mohammed, the prophet and re-founder of Islam, according to the Koran, all those who can physically afford it have a duty to make a pilgrimage to Makkah at least once in their lives. The excursion begins with an hour-long coach journey to one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world and continues with a visit to the Al Masjid Al-Harab Mosque, the largest in the world, with indoor and outdoor prayer spaces. It includes the Ka'ba, the Black Rock, towards which worshippers direct their prayers, and the Zamzam well, a water source miraculously generated by Allah, which sprang up spontaneously thousands of years ago to quench the thirst of Ibrahim's (Abraham) son ?Isma?il (Ishmael) and his mother Hajar (Hagar) in the desert. After the visit, the excursion continues with a panoramic tour of Makkah, now a city of one and a half million inhabitants, before returning to the port.

Today, many agree that this hidden city, whose excavations are still in progress, is as spectacular as Petra. Leave the port, reach the airport to board a plane and reach AlUla airport after an approx. 1-hour flight. Meet your guide at the airport and begin your adventure. The guided tour will give you an idea of the construction skills of the Nabateans at a site that includes more than a hundred monuments. Your guide will show you some of these tombs whose facades are often decorated with mythical figures. Don't miss the tomb of Lihyan, son of Kuza, 72-feet in height and standing tall, solitary, and unfinished in the desert landscape. Also known as the Alfareed Tomb, it will undoubtedly be worth more than a photograph for your memory book and is one of the iconic monuments of the entire site. After the visit, you will reach a restaurant where a typical lunch will be served. Then, get your cameras ready because the two monolithic rocks, the "trunk" and the "body", which stand out against the desert backdrop have been shaped over the centuries by the weather into the shape of an elephant. And a selfie in front of the famous Elephant Rock is a must! The tour concludes with the return flight and with the transfer to the port and the ship.

Jeddah is the perfect place to discover the rich and vibrant culture of Saudi Arabia. Your 4-hour discovery to the second-largest city of the country is a unique sensorial experience and a journey through centuries of culture and traditions. Perceived as the most liberal cities in Saudi Arabia, you will be fascinated not only by its architectural beauty but also by its colourful artwork and oriental scents. A short drive along the Corniche is followed by a guided walk through the streets of the old town, Al Balad, a UNESCO's heritage site with its many streets and hidden jewels. Founded in the 7th century, Al Balad was the core of the city until locals began to move to other districts of the city due to the growth of wealth of Jeddah. It is in this district that you will discover the famous historical palaces, some of which are more than 400 years old and resemble Yemenite houses. You will have a chance to visit one of the ancient houses, Salloum House or Ba'eshen House, and experience the welcome of local hospitality with a treat of dates and Arabic coffee. Enjoy some time exploring the old market with its variety of clothes and textiles and stop for an external view of Beit Nassif, another historical house whose 106 rooms are adorned with admirable artwork and traditional furniture.

Prepare for a Bedouin adventure by jeep as you leave the port and drive along a modern road taking you to the breathtaking desert landscape, with photo stops along the way to capture images of shimmering mirages, strangely formed rocky outcrops and the glorious sunset. At the camp, the hospitable Bedouins will welcome you to their tent before showing you the site and their tough living conditions. After a chance to observe how the Bedouin women knead the dough for their typical unleavened bread, you will also have a chance to try it hot from the fire and drink their sweet aromatic tea. Water is drown from a nearby well surrounded by a few sturdy palm trees and is also where the livestock is watered. The underwater world of the Red Sea is a habitat for a huge variety of multi-coloured fish and other aquatic wildlife, all supported by an extensive coral reef located in Egypts coastal waters. This leisurely half-day tour now gives you a chance to spend some time off the ship and take a closer look at this fascinating world, yet stay bone-dry dry at the same time. An approx. 1-hour coach ride will first take you from Safaga to the beautiful Sindbad Resort Hotel in Hurghada. From there, an approx. 50-minute sea leg by motorboat then follows to the submarine platform, where you will be briefed before boarding the vessel. Equipped with camera-friendly panoramic windows, the underwater craft will descend to a depth of about 22 metres and then take you on a 30-minute trip around the Red Seas magical aquatic universe, offering you amazing views of the reefs many flamboyant inhabitants. After leaving the ship, your guided tour of ancient Egypt begins with a 3.5-hour drive to Luxor across the stunning Safaga Mountains, through desertscapes and small farming villages and over vast stretches of arid land that will take your breath away. Founded in 1,400 B.C., the awe-inspiring Temple of Luxor plus its avenue of Sphinxes, unique red granite obelisk, mosque and huge statue of Ramses II make the first stop. Time permitting, you will also have a chance to browse for souvenirs at the temple shop. The next leg of the tour will take you on a short, but scenic drive to a charming five-star hotel on the banks of the River Nile, from where you will then board a felucca, a traditional wooden sailing boat, for an enjoyable lunch cruising down the river. Next up is the Valley Of The Kings, an impressive wadi that has been carved out of a bleak, dry landscape and is the place where the great Pharaohs chose to bury their dead. Your guides will lead you through this amazing necropolis and will tell you more about the history of the New Kingdom of Egypt. You will visit the interiors of 3 tombs in the Valley to admire their elaborate wall paintings and carvings, after which you will head for the Colossi of Memnon. These imposing twin statues of Amenhotep III are all that is left of a once great temple. You will also have an opportunity to haggle your way to a souvenir at a vibrant Egyptian bazaar or in a Papyrus Institute. While the coach returns you to the port and your ship, you will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the wonderful desert vistas. Please note: this tour runs involves a total of 8 hours of coach transfers plus approx. 3.5 hours of walking on uneven ground with some steps, for which reason it is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties or using a wheelchair.
