Here’s what we’re thankful for on a cruise

1. Family time, all together

Margo shared a sentiment many of us can relate to: "The best part of cruising for me is having my family all together. Since we’re spread out all over the world, cruises give us the chance to spend fun, quality time together. The evening dinners are my favorite part! We laugh, eat, and just enjoy the moment."

From elegant dining rooms to cozy stateroom gatherings, cruises make reconnecting with loved ones effortless.

2. Kids camps (aka Parent Paradise)

If you’re cruising with kids, like Jorge, there’s plenty to be thankful for—especially when it comes to the kids' camp programs. Whether they’re building friendships, crafting keepsakes, or burning off energy on an obstacle course, these onboard camps ensure your little ones are entertained. And for parents? That means a well-earned chance to sip a cocktail or relax in the spa.

3. Midnight pizza runs

Vince confessed his guilty pleasure: late-night Sorrento’s pizza. "There’s something about grabbing a slice at midnight after dancing all evening that just makes the experience so memorable."

Late-night cravings don’t stand a chance on a cruise. Whether it’s pizza, ice cream machines, or round-the-clock room service, there’s always a snack ready to keep the fun going.

4. Being treated like royalty

Marianne (our resident cruise enthusiast) couldn’t stop gushing about the service. "The crew onboard makes you feel like a queen! Whether it’s the room attendants folding cute towel animals or the servers remembering your favorite drink, the hospitality is top-notch."

Cruising redefines indulgence on vacation. From attentive service to the plush amenities, you’ll feel pampered from embarkation to disembarkation.

5. Quiet moments on a (nearly) empty ship

If you love escaping the crowds like Bethany, the magic happens on port days when everyone heads off for shore excursions. “It’s the best time to wander—you feel like you have the whole floating city to yourself!”

Use this quiet time to explore the ship at your own pace. Snag a poolside lounger, enjoy discounted spa treatments, or try out the more popular ship attractions without the usual bustle.

6. Drink packages (cheers to that!)

Ayleen said it best: "I love not having to worry about counting my drink budget. Having an all-inclusive drink package means I can try the fruity cocktails, sip a glass of Cabernet, or even grab a made-to-order latté whenever I feel like it."

Whether you’re team piña colada or prefer a bold espresso martini, drink packages are a reliable way to switch up your stay with satisfying concoctions.

7. Continental breakfast in bed

And let’s not forget one of cruising’s ultimate luxuries: breakfast delivered to your room. Claire raves, "I wake up to fresh pastries, coffee, and fruit without ever leaving my bed. It’s a delightful way to start a sea day. And after that? Spa day!"

Pair that with ocean views from your balcony, and it’s a moment of pure bliss.

8. Something for everyone

From Marianne’s love of "just being at sea and far from the real world" to Pierre’s appreciation for "disconnecting from Wi-Fi to reconnect with family," cruising offers something for everyone. Whether you’re chasing adrenaline on the ship’s water slides or unwinding with a novel by the pool, there’s a perfect moment waiting for you.
